The digital landscapes are three digital animated collages (mixtures from photographs, scanned textures and watercolor shapes) that communicate a certain emotion through a landscape and the changes that take place inside it.
The work refers to romantic painting from the 18th century (f.e. Caspar David Friedrich). It tries to transfer the approach from this former time to a contemporary media. The landscapes look familiar, they show a symbiosis of pure nature and urban environment. In original, each landscape lasts about 3.30 minutes and is looped to give the beholder the opportunity to sink into the emotional landscape. Each animation is accompanied by a track that underlines the atmosphere accessorily.
